The Maasai are one of Africa’s oldest and most recognized tribes, consisting of nearly a million of these nomadic people living in Tanzania and Kenya.

One of the highlights from our trip to Tanzania to primarily volunteer in an orphanage, was the amazing opportunity we got to spend a day in a Maasai village and experience their amazing culture.

It was an incredible way to immerse ourselves in the traditional way of life of the Maasai people, learn a little bit of their local language, hear about some of their cultural norms, see how they create fire from scratch to cook food, walk through their living huts, and take part in their traditional dances, as you will see in our very first episode.
